There are various very small islands in the world. Although the area is limited, each of these tiny islands is unique. There are hundreds to thousands of islands in this world that are uninhabited and untouched by humans.



• Isla Mujeres


If interpreted, Isla Mujeres has the meaning of the island of women. That's because this island is often used as a party place visited by many female tourists.


As small as the island is, which is 4.22 square kilometers, a vehicle like a car is not needed to explore the island which has beautiful beaches. Isla Mujeres is also known to have a small criminal record so that it is considered a comfortable island to visit.


• Sea Lion Island, Falkland Islands


The Falkland Islands are the farthest region from Argentina, with a distance of about 297 kilometers from the southeastern tip of Argentina. One settlement to the south of the Falkland Islands is Sea Lion Island. As the name suggests, on the island we can find valiant sea lions. On the island covering an area of about 5.6 square kilometers, we can also find other wildlife including species of penguins, elephant seals, and killer whales. Although small, the island which has been designated a National Nature Reserve in 2017 is also inhabited by a handful of residents. If you want to visit here, you need to take at least three flights from Argentina.


• Simping Island


This island is in West Kalimantan and was named Kelapa Dua Island. The area is only 2 square meters and there are only stones, sand and trees.


So what makes it interesting? The island is widely used by local residents to pray. It can be seen why the small uninhabited island was made a bridge so that it can be visited.



• Corvo Island, Azores


This island is one of nine islands located about 1600 km west of mainland Portugal in the Atlantic. Corvo Island has attracted the attention of many travelers in recent years, even though it is only about 17.6 square meters in area. Although very small, the island has around 400 residents with three restaurants and five accommodations. On this small island, tourists can fish, swim in freshwater lakes, observe birds, and climb the crater. In addition, Corvo Island is also an ideal place to enjoy solitude and self-reflection.
