In nature, no animal has an easy life; they run for food and water. Each predator has its skill, the skill of the ferret is deception.

The ferret resembles the weasel in the spring and summer, but in the fall and winter, it looks more like the sable (except for the southern ferret, which does not completely change to white fur).

The ferret changes its fur twice a year, once in spring and summer and once in fall and winter, and the fur changes from gray to white and then to gray again.

You may have heard of the "mink coat", the fur of the mink is very valuable, and so is the ferret, especially the "winter grey type", which is very popular with European royalty.

It is therefore conceivable that ferrets are caught in large numbers by humans. Yet miraculously, they are one of the least endangered species on the IUCN Red List, just like humans. This is thanks to their strong ability to survive.

The typical predator of the ferret is the rabbit, which is only one-tenth the size of a rabbit.

It's not easy to kill prey that is 10 times larger than yourself. You would never imagine that they rely on dancing to confuse their opponents.

After a series of performances such as jumping backflips, playing dead, 360-degree rotation, tumbling, and so on, it will slowly approach its prey.

After reaching a certain distance, they will jump onto the back of the prey, and because their teeth are too short, they often cannot bite into the arteries of the prey, so they mostly keep biting until the prey goes into shock.

The ferret's prey is large, but their esophagus is short, which means they can't eat much, so they are good at storing.

Storing food is uncommon for predators, who generally prefer to convert food to fat on the spot, but the ferret is a scavenger-ready player, so it's rather special.

In European countries, it is believed that ferrets have only two things in life - eating and breeding.

This is more or less true, they are very greedy for food and they never stop breeding, yes, never stop, not even during the nursing period.

Female ferrets spend their entire lives pregnant and reproducing thanks to their delayed pregnancies. Simply put, female ferrets will choose to allow embryos to settle depending on the availability of food, and not only that, females can choose to have only one pup if food is scarce.

In short, the ferret is a seemingly harmless animal, but in reality, it is a very unpleasant animal with a high reproductive capacity.
